Method
- Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a bread pan with Crisco or spray cooking oil.
- Whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cream the butter, sugar, and eggs with a mixer.
- Add flour, milk, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix well with a mixer.
- Gently fold in blackberries.
- Pour batter into the greased pan. Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
Notes
If you use frozen blackberries, make sure they are thawed and drained before adding to the cake.
