Method
- Combine the milk, shortening, and sugar in a pan and heat until the shortening is melted.
- Combine the cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Mix in the milk, shortening, and sugar. Add beaten eggs.
- Pour into a greased, shallow pan and bake at 400°F for 25 to 30 minutes.
